This wonderful new art course organised by the amazing Connie Solera from Dirty Footprints Studio features twenty-one art instructors who share their favourite techniques for drawing and painting beautiful faces. From traditional to mixed media and from realism to whimsy… It’s all there!!!

The title of my project is “Three Sisters” and in my lesson we will draw and paint three cute sisters and explore the idea of family and heritage by incorporating patterns and embellishments that remind you of your ancestors. We will draw whimsical faces and add lovely lace patterns and the perfect finishing touches. Below is a practice piece I did earlier but I will share a few sneak peeks of the real project later this week!

  10. Wow! I was introduced to you in Life Book 2019. Phenomenal artistry that really appeals to me. Your 3 sisters above is stunning. I am so happy that since last summer I am creating once more after a block of nine years since my father died. I didn’t put that as a sob story. Just explains that my creativity is flowing once more and I am eager to learn so much more as I had no idea that the web held so much to inspire, teach, learn.

  25. I have long wanted to take a course that focuses on faces. It’s one of those things I struggle with especially in relation to developing my own style.
